It's time to be introduced to your kitchenware. Colander is my name. My job performance is known in kitchens all around the world. Some of Colander's friends can be found in plastic, stainless steel or other material. Some have three legs they stand on and others have no legs. They are often used for different purposes.

No leg colanders can be used as steamers. They can steam vegetables, fruits, which is a healthier way to prepare your foods to keep all the nutrients locked inside. They have perforated holes which are relatively small.

If you are cooking lunch hamburgers or hot dogs on a grill, simply toss your hamburger or hot dog buns into the colander and steam them. This makes a lot softer and warmer bun. Who likes a cold bun?

If you are cooking supper spaghetti or boiling potatoes for potato salad the three leg colander is the best recommended colander for the job. Simply place the colander in your clean kitchen sink and use your cooking mittens to remove the hot pots from the stove that need drained.

When pouring the cooked food into the colander, beware of the hot steam that is released from the fresh cooked food. This could result in being burnt, if you don't use precaution.

Colanders are very easily cleaned. Warm soapy water is sure to clean the colander. Be sure to turn the colander over and wash the bottom. Food particles are easily trapped around the handles and leg areas.

If your vegetables need to be cleaned before cooking , simply use the colander to rinse or wash your vegetables in. All fresh vegetables trap some dirt on them. Using a colander will help rid the vegetables of the dirt due to the perforated holes in the colander.

Your entire family will be amazed by the results a colander can deliver. Healthy nutritional vegetables will be eaten like never before in your household. Grilling out will become more popular with soft steamed buns.

Is your physician always complaining to you about eating greasy fried food? Well, the answer to that question is very simple. Use your colander to drain excess grease from your fried foods like ground beef. You will surprised at the grease that will drain from ground beef that is cooked to make spaghetti.

Remember to eat healthy. Use your colander to drain that excess grease. It's better to drain than to let it remain and harden in your arteries.
