If your eyes are red and swollen chances are you have had an allergic reaction or you might have seasonal allergies. You could experience many thins from: red itchy eyes to watery eyes. Wearing contact lens only makes things worse for you in spring and fall.

Many eye doctors stay very busy during the pollen season. There are many individual's that wear contact lens that tend to complain to their doctors about the discomfort they are experiencing from the allergens firmly sticking to one's contact lens.

People that wear soft contact lens are the one's most likely to suffer from eye irritation due to allergies. Soft contact lens a tendency to collect allergens and keep them in the eye. This makes it hard to treat an individual's eyes with medication at the time.

Maybe you are one of the many allergy suffers that wears contact lens and have no idea what to do. Well, the way to treating your eyes is gong to become more complicated if you are new to contact lens. Why not learn what to do if you wear contacts and suffer from allergies.

Wear your eyeglasses whenever you may find it possible. This will help when you come in contact with pollen; dust; or other allergens that has a tendency to stick to your contacts.

Often you may use artificial tear drops to keep one's eyes moistened . Allergens can cause your eyes to dry out . The artificial tears will help in keeping allergens from staying in your eyes. If your eyes are suffering from allergies, that over the counter redness relieve will not work.

Keep your contact lens clean . One may want to purchase the preservative free solution for contacts. If you keep your contact lens cleaned often , this prevents allergens from lingering around in your eyes. Disposable contact lens would need to be replace more often in preventing eye irritation.

Never rub your eyes when you are bothered with allergies. Simply place a damp cloth over your eyes . This will help to cut down on itching and swelling of your eyes.

If you are bothered with allergies , see your doctor. Some conditions may not be relayed to wearing contact lens. It never hurts to be cautious when tour eyes are involved.

There are some risks involved in wearing contact lens. If you are a allergy sufferer; diabetic; or do outside work; lenses may not be for you to wear. This could lead to multiple eye infections and very dry eyes.

Contacts are usually prescribed by prescription from an eye doctor. Individual's should not attempt to wear contacts without a doctor approval. Always follow the instructions you may be given by your doctor in applying your contacts and caring for them. Your vision is your responsibility.
