Acne is an inflammatory skin disease which affects the skin's oil glands. This disease affects nearly one million American people every year, being the most common skin disease.
Pimples usually appear on the face, chest, back, shoulders where the most sebum is produced. Acne does not affect your health very hard but it causes scars. This skin disease varies from one person to another because there are many types of pimples like hiteheads, pustules, cysts, nodules, but the most common form of acne is Acne Vulgaris which has its severe forms too.
Now that you understood what acne is let's see how we can treat it. First of all you should have a healthy diet, not just for acne, and if the medications fail to keep the acne away than try some natural remedies such as:
1. You can rub over your face before going to bed at night a slice of lemon, a slice of tomato is good but the best one is garlic if you mixed it with hot water and the apply it on your skin. It will have a bad smell but in a few days your face will be clean. Papaya, mint juice, oranges will do the same thing to your skin if they are applied on those bad pimples.
2. Do not apply any facial products, because they clog your pores and the treatment will not work on your skin.
3. Ice is very good if applied on those spots before going to bed, fresh mint or limejuice will have the same good results.
4. Every morning you should clean your face with boiled water mixed with apple cider vinegar, put a towel on your head and then take the pan and bend over it. You can clean your face with cotton balls soaked with vinegar or lemon juice.
5. You should drink three glasses of water with some lemon and honey or you two cups of rosemary tea.
6. Stress is also a very important factor for acne; a recent study was made on some students before and after exams and it showed up the acne was worse before exams.
Why? You should ask, because your body produces stress hormones which stimulate an extra production of oil in the skin. Remember the most important thing is to wash your face every morning and apply any kind of treatment before going to bed for at least four days. If you think you have a minor acne problem either visit a doctor or make yourself a home treatment.
