When new recruits in the Navy go shopping for the first time for the items that will be placed in their sea bag, they are guaranteed to be doing some hurried shopping for military products because they must follow a rigid timeline that is devoted to only to the first day of boot camp. These new recruits are under a lot of pressure to shop at a fast pace because there are a certain number of individuals milling about that will ensure the recruits do not dawdle one second more than they need to.

The company commanders will probably be screaming commands at many individuals at one time while new recruits complete the hurried shopping trips and this makes all of them want to move even faster than they have probably moved in their whole life. The selections that they can choose from have been outlined in the uniform regulations and new recruits can select one of each of these items in a matter of seconds. Of course, the choices are limited because someone else has already made the decision of what they will wear for them.

Navy recruits are hurried to buy military items like dungarees and chambray shirts that are neatly folded on shelves in the Navy Uniform Section of the Exchange where all shopping is done. Even the company commanders can find what they need to ensure that their military uniform is always crisp and ready for inspection and it does not matter which branch of service these regulators are members of. The new recruits are stunned by this type of shopping because everything is shoved into sea bags instead of the usual shopping cart found in most clothing stores.

The procession through the aisles of these military clothing centers is as brisk as the company commanders can make it. This is the starting point of many days where recruits will be required to listen and some with excel ahead of others in their ability to take such loud orders without stressing out too much. Every uniform item is provided and when shopping for military products it is certain that there will not be many stylish choices that have any type of opportunity for individuality to show through from wearing them.

Navy recruits will shop for tee shirts and toiletries that have no emblems emblazoned on them but will certainly find that most uniform issued items have the mark of the military clothing manufacturer. The hurried pace lessens only when recruits are finished shopping but starts up again when they are placed in formation and marched down the street to berthing facilities where they will put all of their shopping items away in a neat and very orderly manner that is typical of the military service regimen.
