Any pet can exhibit a lot of body language if a pet owner is observant enough to see it. Dogs and cats are regular house pets that show body language that tells people that they accept each other's presence. That body language will be very apparent when the pet owners sees them sleeping side by side in any area of the home.
An indoor cat might use extreme body language gestures to show their displeasure when a dog enters their domain. A cat can rear up on their haunches and hiss and spit sometimes to drive that animal away from a food dish. A growl might follow a leap if the cat jumps into a bathtub that is filled with water, because just yesterday they did the same thing and the bathtub was dry as the desert.

A bird will usually peck the hand of a pet owner that violates their spaces and they might even leave some bird droppings on the pet owner's shoulders if a cat walks in the room.
Hamsters make great pets but do require a lot of attention. A hamster will often use body language to bring attention to the fact that their food bowl is empty. Each time the pet owner walks by, they will see the hamster stand up tall and the hamster will extend their arms wide open to indicate that something is wrong. A hamster will usually run to the other side of the cage when food is replaced and will bury their bodies underneath the grass to indicate that they are ready to sleep.
