So you have already found your office space, fully paid the rent and have filled up the room with the top of the line office furniture and fixtures. You and your staff are now looking forward to starting your operations and acquiring good clients. But do not get too excited just yet because you might be still be missing one piece of the puzzle - office supplies. Yes, your office might look ready but without office supplies you are considerably far from being one. Office supplies are quintessential for your office as they are your spoon and fork for your business meals and do not think that you can do everything with your two hands because it simply cannot be done.

If you think that having a pen and paper is enough office supplies then think again. Here is a master list of office supplies that can guide you in your supplies shopping expedition. You will find some may be more important for you than others. It is however highly recommended that you should at least have the essential basics.

Binders, file folders, staplers and punchers

Binders can be used in filing your presentation papers, reference notes, portfolio reports and even used in storing your files. These basically work as paper organizers keeping your works neat and safe. Staplers and punchers are great in putting files together too.

Boards and easels

Boards and easels are especially helpful during conferences, meetings and presentations. Ideas are easily conveyed and understood when the audience can set eyes on and picture what the speaker is trying to get across. Boards can also help people bounce in ideas and suggestions from a group before deciding on the best option.

Calendars and planners

For most businessmen, not knowing what time and date it is can be quite a quandary. For people on the go, it is extremely important to make notes of the specific time and dates and the activities that are happening on those periods so as not to miss important business calls and deals. Calendars and planners keep people on time and on schedule.

Cleaning supplies

A clean and tidy office equates to healthy staff and workers that is why it is important that the office is kept in a spic and span condition. Cleaning supplies are therefore a must. Your office should not be without the common broom, mop and other cleaning detergents to keep it in tip top shape.

Paper, pads, envelopes and forms

Paper is a staple supply in offices. You will definitely need something to write on, something to print on and something to communicate your ideas with. This would include your basic white bond papers which may be in letter or legal sizes, your office stationery with the company logo sketched on top, and your dependable pads for taking in little notes from meetings and business calls. Your company may need special forms that are customized for printing. Be sure to have an ample stock of those on hand as well. Then there are your envelopes.

Pens, writing and correction, labels and markers

When there is paper, there should always be a pen nearby. We all know too well how essential pens are in an office environment. We should also not forget correction pens as people are known to make mistakes once in a while. It would be convenient to make small corrections than start all over again.
